Percentages: The Singapore Budget 2021 (NE)

Study Notes (p12-p15) Activity 2

In this activity, we are going to learn more about the Singapore Budget: Where the money comes from, and where the money goes to - i.e. the priorities, how and whether they have changed over the years. 

We will examine more closely: 

  • What are our sources of revenue and how the pandemic has affected the contributing incomes? 
  • How has the government (re-)prioritise the money allocation before and after the pandemic? 
(A) GROUP Activity

1. INTERPRETATION of Information:
  • You will need to interpret the source in order to pick the correct information to answer the questions.
  • Help your group members to see how the budget allocated has changed.
2. SOLVING the problems:
  • Answer the questions in p11 and p13.
  • Write the working and the units clearly.
3. SUBMISSION of work:
  • Check the answers among the team members.
  • Each member of the team will take charge of uploading the worked solution into the padlet.
  • If there are only 4 members in the group, one of the members will need to upload worked solutions twice.
  • In the HEADER of the post, indicate GROUP (Name of member posting the work) e.g. GROUP 10 LRRH
